My swing got so much better, but because of the very hot weather, i was not able to focus well and this resulted in weak distances. But for me right now, the most important thing was to be able to hit the ball, not how far it goes. I usually use a 7 or 9 iron club, but today, reaching the last 20 balls, i was able to use the 5Hybrid (5H) golf club! This was exciting because i've never used this club before. It looks hard, but i was able to hit the ball with this club. However, there are some tricky parts using this club; i had to hit the ball not too high and not too low, perfectly in the middle of the ball, otherwise, it would not be a clear shot. For the first few tries, i hit the ball too low, so it did not go properly. I tried hitting the ball higher, but it ended up hitting the ball too high. Finally, i was able to hit the ball properly at the centre of the ball. I hope i am able to keep this up. What i learned from today was you never know until you try. I used to find the hybrid clubs intimidating, i would always try to avoid it. But it turns out, it was not as hard as i thought, in fact, i was able to get a hold of it. This activity requires lots of patience, focus and concentration. I used to always want to hit the ball far and i would always want to do it fast and with full power. But i realized, with that in mind, i am never going to get it right. Golf requires patience and a clear mind. I need to always focus on the ball and not on something else. I also need to concentrate and be able to control my entire body because every movement needs to be synchronized and balanced. I really enjoy this activity and i hope my skills in focusing and concentrating, as well as being patient, would certainly improve.
